DAYTON- End Citizens United (ECU), a national organization committed to campaign finance reform, has announced their endorsement of Theresa Gasper, a Democratic candidate for Ohio’s 10th Congressional District. Gasper has taken a no-corporate PAC pledge for her campaign and has counted well over 1,000 individual donations thus far.
“Too many politicians in Washington are beholden to the Big Money special interests. They’re corrupting the system and leaving everyday Ohioans behind,” said ECU President Tiffany Muller. “Theresa Gasper is committed to fighting for meaningful reform so that Ohio families, not special interests, are the priorities in Congress. We’re proud to endorse Theresa’s campaign and look forward to helping her win in November.”
ECU works to elect pro-reform candidates through grassroots activism and support.
“I am honored to receive the stamp of approval from an organization committed to making sure that individual voices can be heard over the influence of corporate money,” said Theresa Gasper. “The Republican tax bill this year showed the consequences our broken politics as corporations received tax breaks at the expense of working families. It’s clearly time for a change to business-as-usual in Washington.”
The announcement from End Citizens United follows a string of local and regional support Gasper’s campaign has received, including endorsements from Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith, and UAW Regional 2-B.
